Important health notice

Dose supports medication routines, but it is not a medical device, healthcare provider, or emergency service. Always follow instructions from a qualified healthcare professional.

1. The service

Dose is a personal medication companion for iPhone and Apple Watch. It can help you organize medication schedules, receive local reminders, record dose history and symptoms, estimate refills, prepare reports, and import permitted medication information from Apple Health.

Dose is provided by the developer identified on its App Store product page (“Dose,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Features may vary by device, operating-system version, country, and permissions you choose to grant.

2. Medical information and emergencies

Dose provides organizational and informational tools only. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, and it does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, medication labels, or instructions from your prescriber or pharmacist.

  • Confirm medication names, strength, timing, and instructions before relying on a schedule or reminder.
  • Do not change, start, stop, or delay medication based only on information shown in Dose.
  • Reminder delivery can be affected by device settings, battery state, notification permissions, focus modes, time-zone changes, or technical failures.
  • If you think you may be experiencing a medical emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.

3. License and Apple terms

The app is licensed, not sold. Your download and use through Apple’s App Store are governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, unless a custom license is presented in App Store Connect. These Terms supplement that agreement for the Dose service and website. If they conflict regarding the app license, the applicable App Store license controls.

Subject to those terms, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable right to use Dose on Apple devices you own or control.

4. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the information you enter, the permissions you grant, checking the accuracy of your schedule, keeping your device secure, and maintaining an appropriate backup strategy.

You must not misuse Dose, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer it except where applicable law expressly permits, use it to violate another person’s rights, or present Dose-generated information as professional medical advice.

5. Privacy and your data

Your use of Dose is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Dose is designed without an account and stores its main records locally. You control Apple Health permissions and any report you choose to export or share.

6. Apple Health and third-party services

Dose may interact with Apple Health, Apple Watch connectivity, system notifications, and the U.S. National Library of Medicine’s RxNorm services. Those services are operated by their respective providers and may be unavailable, changed, or subject to separate terms.

Medication names and reference information returned by RxNorm are informational. The National Library of Medicine does not provide medical advice, is not responsible for Dose, and does not endorse Dose or any medication.

7. Availability, updates, and ownership

We may improve, update, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not promise that Dose will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device or operating-system release.

Dose, its visual design, software, and original content are owned by the developer or used under license. Apple, Apple Health, iPhone, and Apple Watch are trademarks of Apple Inc. Third-party data and marks remain the property of their respective owners.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Dose is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. You remain responsible for medication decisions and for confirming all health-related information with qualified professionals.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, missed reminders, or decisions made in reliance on Dose. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liabilities that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.

9. Changes, termination, and contact

You may stop using Dose at any time. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, legal rights, or compliance with these Terms. Updated terms will be posted here with a revised effective date; continued use after they take effect means you accept the updated terms.

These Terms are governed by applicable law, including mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. Questions can be sent through the developer contact or support channel shown on the Dose App Store product page.

If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
